Privacy Policy
How SafeFlow Press handles information for its website, purchases, book access, and reader communications.
Effective September 5, 2026
Who we are
SafeFlow Press is an imprint of Safeflow Assurance, Inc. This policy applies to the SafeFlow Press website at press.safeflow.app, including the early-access program for Reliability Engineering for AI Systems.
Information we collect
When you purchase the book, request an access link, join a book-update list, or contact us, we may receive your name, email address, purchase identifiers, payment status, access-entitlement status, messages, and related support information.
Stripe hosts the payment form and processes payment-card and billing information. SafeFlow Press does not receive or store your complete card number or card security code.
Our hosting and service providers may also process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request timestamps, and security or delivery logs when you visit the site or open an email.
How we use information
- Process purchases, refunds, disputes, and payment-related support.
- Create and maintain your entitlement to early-access releases.
- Deliver download links, protected web access, recovery links, and new-release notices.
- Respond to questions, corrections, feedback, and support requests.
- Protect the site, investigate misuse, and meet legal, accounting, and compliance obligations.
- Send optional book updates when you have separately requested them.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the publishing program. These currently include Stripe for payment processing, Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for entitlement records and private manuscript storage, Resend for transactional email, and Buttondown for an optional book-update list. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Sharing and sale of information
We share information with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the site, fulfill purchases, communicate with readers, protect the service, or comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
Email choices
Purchase receipts, access links, security messages, and release notifications connected to your early-access purchase are transactional communications. Optional promotional or general book-update messages include an unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribing from optional updates does not cancel your book entitlement.
Retention
We retain purchase and entitlement records for as long as needed to provide ongoing access to the releases included with your purchase and to meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal obligations. Support messages and technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their operational purpose.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS, private manuscript storage, signed time-limited access links, and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Some purchase and transaction records may need to be retained where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
To make a privacy request, email books@safeflow.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
The site and early-access program are intended for a general professional audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the publishing program or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
