Early-access edition

Terms of Purchase

Terms for purchasing Founding Reader access to Reliability Engineering for AI Systems.

Effective September 5, 2026

Agreement and seller

These terms apply when you purchase Founding Reader access from SafeFlow Press, an imprint of Safeflow Assurance, Inc. By completing the purchase, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

The early-access product

You are purchasing access to an unfinished digital book that is being developed and released over time. The current manuscript contains two substantive published chapters; planned chapters may appear as empty or partial placeholders until their material is released.

The manuscript is not the completed first edition. Its chapters, examples, code, organization, wording, title, design, and publication schedule may change during development.

Price and payment

The current Founding Reader digital price is a one-time payment of $29 USD. The amount displayed by Stripe at checkout is the amount charged. Stripe securely processes the payment; SafeFlow Press does not store your complete payment-card information.

This purchase is not a subscription and does not authorize recurring charges.

What your purchase includes

  • The current early-access PDF and available protected web edition.
  • Subsequent early-access manuscript releases for this book.
  • The completed digital first edition when it is published.

The $29 digital offer does not include a printed book, consulting, training, source-code support, future editions after the first edition, or unrelated SafeFlow Press publications unless we expressly state otherwise.

Delivery and access

Access is normally delivered on the purchase-confirmation page and by email. For security, individual download and reader links expire. An expired link does not end an active entitlement; you can request a new link through the access-recovery page.

You are responsible for providing a working email address and for checking spam or filtering folders. Contact us if access is not delivered or a file cannot be opened.

Release timing

Any publication date or release cadence shown on the website is a good-faith target, not a guaranteed deadline. Experiments, validation, technical review, editing, illness, service interruption, or other circumstances may change the schedule. Your entitlement continues through the completed digital first edition even if the schedule changes.

Chapter 1 remains free

Chapters 1 and 2 are available without purchase and will remain free. Buying Founding Reader access is not required to keep reading the public editions of those chapters.

Personal-use license

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and read the supplied book files and protected web edition. You may keep reasonable personal backup copies. You may not redistribute, publicly post, resell, sublicense, or make the files available to others.

Short quotations for review, commentary, scholarship, or other uses permitted by applicable law are not restricted by these terms.

Refunds

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing books@safeflow.app from the address used for the purchase. After 14 days, refund requests are considered individually. This policy does not limit any non-waivable rights provided by applicable law.

A full refund ends the associated entitlement to paid PDF downloads, the protected web edition, and future early-access releases.

Technical and educational material

The book is provided for educational and informational purposes. Examples may be incomplete, may change, and may not be suitable for a particular production system. You remain responsible for testing, security review, professional judgment, and compliance decisions in your own systems.

Availability and warranties

We will use reasonable efforts to maintain the website and deliver releases, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, the early-access material is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated in these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Safeflow Assurance, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the book or early-access service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms prospectively as the publishing program changes. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes will not remove the core digital access already included with a completed purchase.
